JMB welcomes Nick Pickrell (a.k.a. Nick Pick) to the artists formerly known as the Blue Sea Fisherman’s Union

Credentials, as Nick would put it:

Brodie Kagstarr from '96 to '99.
A British bubble gum punk band.  I sang (horrible British accent included) and played a headless bass guitar.

Gung Ho '00
A flash in the pan.  A more straight ahead Ramones influenced band, which I fronted.  I consider this my transition band as I spent the entire time trying to shed my horrible British accent.

Gametime '01 to '04
The most successful band I’ve been in to date.  Signed to the Yellowcard-created label, Takeover Records.  Toured all over the country.  Featured in a number of compilations (my favorite being the Rocky Horror Punk Rock Show).  Played in the Warped Tour a number of times.  I sang and played bass in this pop punk band.  We were like the Beach Boys but in hyper speed.  We had 3 part harmonies and pretty complicated guitar licks.

The Klangs '08 to '09
With Billy Brimblecom, Greg Lafollette, and Chuck Whittington.  Brain child of Greg Lafollette, this band was a concept album--a robo-rock band.

Model Congress '10 to '11
Fronted by Thomas Mueller, a Radiohead influenced rock band that played around KC.

JOHN MCKENNA BAND!!! 2012 and beyond…
